Salem : Salem Periyar University has achieved a 4-star rating in the latest Institutions Innovation Council (IIC) list for 2022-23, as released by the Union Ministry of Education. The Varsity achieved 4 Star rating for second consecutive time.

Only State University

Salem Periyar University is the only State government University in Tamil Nadu to achieve 4 Star rating by Institution Innovation Council, meanwhile Chidambaram Annamalai University achieves 3.5 star.

Other achievements of University

Periyar University also achieves States top ranking and 2nd rank in nation by NAAC with “A++” ranking with CGPA 3.61 (Cycle – 3) among state government University only next to Mumbai University.

University also achieves in National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) by ranking 59 in 2023 while ranked 63 in previous year. University also listed in NIRF Innovation Band of 11 – 50 for 2023.
