Salem: The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has informed that the feasibility study related to the implementation of metro rail project in Salem will be completed in April. CMRL replied for RTI related to Salem Metro that a report will be submitted to the Tamil Nadu government at the end of April.
Similarly, the metro rail administration is carrying out survey work for the implementation of metro rail projects in the districts of Salem, Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichy and Nellai.
Accordingly, the preparatory work for the construction of metro in Madurai and Coimbatore has reached its final stage and in this situation, the metro rail administration has been questioned under the Right to Information Act about the survey work being carried out in Salem. The Metro Rail Administration has responded to this. It has been said that the feasibility study work being carried out for the construction of the metro rail track in Salem will be completed in April and the feasibility study work being carried out in Trichy and Nellai districts will be completed by the end of April or May. A detailed report in this regard is also likely to be submitted to the Tamil Nadu government.
The same will be released publicly, after the approval from state government, CMRL will carry out the works for Metro construction in Salem.
